Low hanging fruit

Three miles or so passing the farms surrounding the village: picking blackberries from the hedgerows. Four hours of walking and picking. The result: nearly 4 pounds of fruit.

In to the pot they go, with a Worcester apple to add a bit of texture and flavour. Not to mention, three pounds of sugar.
