Cream tea
In true English style, it was a damp and miserable holiday weekend with just a little sunshine on Monday afternoon.
I think this is categosied as "messy" surf
Nevertheless, it had some good points. The highlight was a walk along the seafront at blustery Westward Ho!with my sister, visiting her baby brother, and some cream tea goodness.
Cream teas at Fremington Quay are missed. But, the highly recommended Tea on the Green scored high. Good value scone and the trimmings for £3.95. I had a cup of coffee so it probably didn’t qualify as a cream tea, but a very good cup it was.
Only slight downside, I would have preferred a choice of scone, not being overly partial to the fruit variety.
For the record: jam on cream.
